I'm an educator, business advisor, and passionate advocate for lifelong learning, and I make my home in the countryside of rural southern England. With an MA in Anthrozoology, my fascination with the human–animal bond has shaped the way I approach both life and leadership—with empathy, practicality, and curiosity.
Over the years, I've worn many hats: school principal, business owner, leadership mentor, and a retired board member of a conservation and research charity. I’ve guided individuals and organisations toward growth and resilience, always with the belief that emotional intelligence and self-awareness are just as critical as any formal qualification.
My entrepreneurial journey has led me to run several companies and build a multi-strand online business, where I continue to inspire others through writing and advisory work. I’m deeply committed to the principles of Growth Mindset and self-discovery, and I love encouraging others to embrace change, no matter their age or stage of life, after all, I waited until I retired, to build a multi-strand, online business.
A turning point in my journey was learning Philosophy for Children from Matthew Lipman and Ann Margaret Sharp at Montclair State University in the US. That experience deeply affirmed my belief in the power of critical thinking and emotional literacy, starting from a young age.
As an author, I draw on decades of leadership experience, family life, and community involvement to support the next generation in developing the skills school may have skipped—but life absolutely demands. My work, including How to Human in 12 Weeks (When No One Taught You), is practical, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that anyone—regardless of background—can grow into someone trustworthy, resilient, and ready for whatever comes next.
